Just one single day after I posted the story about how I could not believe that some people need signs to remind them that they should not lose their kids (Sign Of The Times), something stunning appeared in the pages of London The Metro.

Apparently Mandy Hands (real name) while making sure that her son and her four pet dogs were saved from her burning house, completely forgot that her 11 year old grandson was asleep inside. Luckily 6 Firefighters managed to battle through the flames and save the little lad, who then no doubt threw his arms around his gran (when he should have probably just kicked her right in the fanny).

And that would be the end of that story until something dawned on me. The photo of Handy Mandy showed that she was quite a young woman, so I doubled back to check that it did say grandmother… and it did. 11 year old grandson of a 45 year old grandmother… do the math.

Ahhh it all makes sense now.
