Entry into the competition is restricted to registered braingunk members only.
Membership is free and registration only takes a minute. See the Login area on the right of the web site for registration instructions.

By submitting an entry to the competition you confirm that the entry and all constituent elements are your own original composition and said composition is not bound under any previous publication or distribution restrictions or third part copyrights.

All entries to the competition must consist of 500 words or fewer (title not included).

All entries to the competition must have a title consisting of no more than 25 words.

Multiple entries into the competition are allowed, but each submission must be a self contained work and should not reference, follow on from or in any way be derived from any other entry into the competition.

All entries to the competition must be received via email before 12 midnight (GMT) on the 25th August 2010 after which time the competition will be closed.

All decisions are final.

The competition winner will be announced on the 1st September 2010 via the web site and by email.

Prize/s will be dispatched shortly after the winner has been announced.

Prizes may vary slightly from those detailed in the competition promotion but will include at minimum:

•    A braingunk 500 certificate
•    A braingunk t-shirt
•    A braingunk 500 award winner web graphic, for personal use

These competition terms and conditions constitute a temporary amendment of the regular braingunk.com terms and conditions of use (if applicable) for the duration of the competition and related projects only.

Failing to abide any and all terms and conditions will result in entries being rejected.

The editor and braingunk.com reserve the right to reject entries and refrain from publishing them for any reason they see fit without obligation. Rejected entries will not be published. 

By submitting an entry to the competition you agree to grant braingunk.com non exclusive rights to publish that entry on its web site at www.braingunk.com for a minimum publication period of six months. After the minimum publication period has expired, the entry will be removed from the web site upon request.

By submitting an entry to the competition you agree to grant braingunk.com the right to use that entry, in whole or in part, including your braingunk username for the purposes of promoting the competition and any derivative projects based on the competition.

By submitting an entry to the competition you agree to grant braingunk.com the option of publishing the entry in printed form at a later date as part of a collection, anthology or retrospective in exchange for proper credit in such collection, anthology or retrospective without claim to any recompense, financial or otherwise.

braingunk reserve the right to alter these competition terms at any time. Notification will be published to the front page of the web site should there be any significant change.
