I've avoided writing about braingunk itself too much previously because there are so many damned issues I want to get out of the way first, there are lots of rants that need to be ranted and there are lots of stories that need to be told (both true life and fictional).

But I wanted to drop just a little bit of a diary type entry type thing on here today to document how the site has developed and hopefully to encourage you to help us shape where it's going...

Currently braingunk is still in its infancy, it's a little rudderless boat bobbing around on a internet pond, it kind of goes where it wants to.  There's been pretty much no pattern or plan followed and what has appeared here has generally done so at the mercy of my personal whims.

But that's going to change.  braingunk needs to be a little more structured and to increase its output and readership.  Of course what I don’t really want to do is change the type of content, I think the mix of things found on braingunk are what define its nature and it's what generates such great feedback from all you guys and gals out there on the cortex.

So we're looking to make a change but without making a BIG change then please.  It might surprise you to know that braingunk is no longer a 'one man band'.  At last count there were articles from five different writers on site and we're still looking for more contributors.  And maybe that's where you come in.

Got something you want to rant about?  Rant it.
Got a story you want to tell?  Tell it.
Got a crazy long list of things you want the world to share? Then share it.

You and I both know that braingunk is going to turn into something more than what it currently is. One day it will be massive.  I know this because I am 100% committed to making that happen and you know because… well because I said it would and you trust me right ;)

And my friend that journey day thing starts with a single butterfly flapping step… or something.

Dive into the gunk and send us something… yes you.
