We've made a few changes to the braingunk layout in an effort to make it easier and more pleasurable to use.

Firstly the much requested "logo home link" (which actually turned out to be considerably more complex than you might think). Still it's all done and seems to be working fine now.  Simply clicking on the braingunk.com logo at the top of any page should take you back home to the front page.

Secondly we've moved all content related menus over to the left hand side of the site,  and the gunk junkie user login form has been moved to the right, so don't panic if you cant find something that used to be on the right... it's now on the left, or something that used to be on the left... cos it's now on the right.

Lastly there's now a search facility for registered users, so you can find your favourite braingunk articles quicker.  Oh and the search bar will only show up once you've logged in and will be on the right.  Check the "Remember Me" option on the Login Menu on the right to save time every visit.

I've avoided writing about braingunk itself too much previously because there are so many damned issues I want to get out of the way first, there are lots of rants that need to be ranted and there are lots of stories that need to be told (both true life and fictional).

But I wanted to drop just a little bit of a diary type entry type thing on here today to document how the site has developed and hopefully to encourage you to help us shape where it's going...

I was going to start a new feature today called "In The News or Something", but it will have to wait for a while.

I was going to pick a single daily news story and give it the braingunk treatment.

And do you know what I found? I found that all the newspapers I canvassed were almost completely devoid of anything even remotely interesting enough to cover.

Yes, yes we know that there are some quite frankly hilarious t-shirts on offer in the braingunk store and that mug with shit all over it is an office classic, but the time has come for a change.

The braingunk store needs an update so we're consigning all of our current product designs to the vault...
